Eligibility for Subhadra Yojana

To benefit from the Subhadra Yojana, women must meet the following criteria:

Residency: The applicant must be a resident of Odisha.

Food Security Coverage: The applicant should be covered under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) or the State Food Security Scheme (SFSS). Women from families without an NFSA or SFSS card can apply if their family income is not more than Rs. 2.50 lakh (Rs. 2,50,000).

Age: The applicant must be between 21 and 60 years old as of the qualifying date. For the financial year 2024-25, the age should be 21 or older and less than 60 as of 01.07.2024. Therefore, the applicant should be born on or after 02.07.1964 and on or before 01.07.2003. Age is determined based on the date of birth recorded on the Aadhaar card.

Benefit Timing: Women who turn 21 after 01.07.2024 will receive Rs. 10,000 per year only for the remaining years of the scheme period. Women who turn 60 after 01.07.2024 will not receive benefits for the remaining years of the scheme.

Ineligibility for Subhadra Yojana

Women are ineligible if they fall into any of the following categories:

Financial Assistance: Women receiving financial assistance such as pensions, scholarships, etc., amounting to Rs. 1,500 per month or Rs. 18,000 per annum or more under any State or Central Government Scheme.

Government or Public Service:

Women who are current or former Members of Parliament (MP) or Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLA).

Income Tax payers:

Elected public representatives in any Urban Local Body or Panchayati Raj Institution (excluding Ward Members/Councillors).

Employed as regular or contractual employees in State or Central Government, Public Sector Undertakings, or Government organizations, or who receive a pension after retirement. Workers receiving honoraria, such as ASHA or Anganwadi Workers, are eligible if they meet other criteria.

Elected, nominated, or appointed representatives in any Government Department or Organization.

Owners of a 4-wheeler motor vehicle (excluding tractors, mini-trucks, small commercial vehicles, and similar light goods vehicles).

Families owning more than 5 acres of irrigated land or 10 acres of non-irrigated land.

Application Checklist

To receive benefits under SUBHADRA, eligible women must:

  • Have an Aadhaar card with their own name.
  • Link their mobile number with their Aadhaar card.
  • Have a single-holder bank account that is Aadhaar-enabled and DBT-enabled.
